A-Frames
|
We only offer one kind of A Frame and these are manufactured to comply with the Dogs New Zealand competition regulations and weigh just over 30kg for each main panel. The frames are secured as an “A” using sturdy adjustable chain and can be lowered to 1 metre in height at the apex for “light and slow” puppy training. Please do not use the A Frame at this height for high speed training with dogs over 20kg. This kind of training can only be affected if sturdy support is located underneath both the up and down ramps roughly amidships.
Each ramp has a starter chain encased in shrink tube, this ensures that the stork thus created does not get stuck under a ramp making for awkward erection. These storks have location eyes to keep the starter chains out of the way during storage. The chip surfaces are over-sprayed to lock down the coated surfaces and brighten the colour. You may experience a small amount of shedding when new. The hinge pins are deliberately a little smaller than the hinge pipes in an effort to make insertion during erection a tad easier but will still not affect the apex safety during use. Our cladding is only 1.5mm thick which ensures a smooth transition between ramps. Prices from November 2025 onwards are as follows:- A Frames - $2,000 + GST ($2,300) There is a rumour doing the rounds that our A Frames are "dangerous" and one judge refused to use a brand new piece that we manufactured. Our status as an approved manufacturer has not changed and in the meantime there has been no official complaint for the AC to address. If and when this happens we can address the issue, but until then we are reluctant to address any stability or safety concerns until there is an officicial complaint lodged with the Agility Committee for them to address. |
