HUrdle Cups
Both styles, come with an industrial strength adhesive backing which adheres firmly to metal or painted surfaces, the bond is not so aggressive if used on raw timber, where is is best to glue and screw in place. The hurdle cup radius is designed for a bar up to 32mm in diameter.
BLACK NYLON
Approved by the Dogs NZ Agility committee, these black nylon hurdle cups, have rounded edges and resist UV degradation.
The cups come with a very aggressive adhesive backing which will adhere to most sealed surfaces. Adhesion to raw timber is not recommended but to painted timber is reasonable. If you do not intend to screw (or pop-rivet) then the adhesion can be substantially improved by treating the landing area with 3m Primer '94. We can supply pens (small vials) for this purpose.

SOFT POLYMER Because of the additional safety, these soft Polymer hurdle cups have become more popular than the original black version. The soft composition reduces the chance of injury to dogs, when slicing or wrapping the upright. Application instructions are as outlined above although it is recommended to use cup washers if you are screwing into timber or cup rivets if applying to steel. This picture clearly shows how the soft cup responds to applied pressure, $2.30 each + GST. |
